Passports are currently being delivered with a delay. The federal printing press (Bundesdruckerei) is working at full speed to cope with the extraordinarily high volume of orders this year.
The following processing times have to be expected: approx. 8-10 weeks from the date of application in Bern and accordingly 10-12 weeks from the date of application at the office of an honorary consul.
The Embassy has no influence on the delivery times of the federal printing press (Bundesdruckerei). Please refrain from making corresponding requests.
